The Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Program (GRG) provides support services for custodial grandparents who are striving to provide a stable home for their grandchildren. These services will enhance grandparents’ abilities by increasing their utilization of community resources, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and educating the grandparents about parenting, child development, and appropriate discipline.

GRG serves Whitfield and Murray County custodial grandparents and the grandchildren they are raising.

We provide the following services:

• Individual tutoring for school-aged grandchildren

• Respite care

• Home-based Nurturing Parent training

• Support group meetings

• Developmental screens for grandchildren ages 0-5

• Healthcare Education

• Transportation assistance

• Special events for grandparents and grandchildren to enjoy together

• Information and referral services

These services are tailored to each family’s interests and needs and are provided at no cost to program participants.
